10 | frvta.orgRVing in Florida offers an array of activities for the entire family, including outdoor fun, some of the best amusement parks in the United States, and a variety of museums. On the following pages, see what Florida RVing has in store for you. Hi, I%u2019m Roadie and I%u2019m the mascot of the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA). I was selected to be the mascot because of my vast knowledge of the State of Florida and of RVing. Now, you would think a pelican would spend his time on channel markers and sleeping on piers, but not in my case. My father would travel all over Florida in his RV, and we always enjoyed all the comforts of home. We would visit the sugar-white sandy beaches in the panhandle, the historic St. Augustine area, and enjoy sunsets on Florida%u2019s west coast. We are very lucky to have so many campgrounds to choose from here in Florida.Today, I travel all over the state to talk about the fun, freedom, and flexibility of RV travel. Be sure to say %u201cHi%u201d when you see me, and if you need any advice on fishing, I%u2019m your man%u2026er, bird! Enjoy your travels, and I%u2019ll see you down the road.MEET Roadie!CONNECT WITH US!www.frvta.org 4/16/24, 9:54 AM QR Code Generator - New Managehttps://app.qr-code-generator.com/manage/?aftercreate=1&count=5 1/1Facebook: Florida RV Trade AssociationYouTube: FRVTA Instagram: FloridaRVTATikTok: @frvta.org Pinterest: @FloridaRVTAPowerful hurricanes Helene and Milton recently struck Florida in a devastating one-two punch that caused widespread damage across various regions and left residents and businesses reeling. Hurricane Milton made landfall on Siesta Key as a Category 3, on Florida%u2019s Gulf Coast, and moved eastward across a wide swath of central and southern Florida. Sarasota and Manatee counties were the first to bear the brunt of Milton%u2019s strong winds and heavy rainfall, resulting in power outages, downed trees, and property damage. As Milton moved east, it impacted Hardee, Highlands, DeSoto and Okeechobee counties, where local roads flooded, trees were uprooted, and structures were compromised.
