Amelia Island Horseback Riding
Amelia Island Horseback Riding, Fernandina Beach:
Amelia Island is part of the Sea Islands chain of barrier islands on Florida’s Atlantic coast and a popular destination known for its luxury resorts, golf courses and numerous sandy beaches. The Main Beach Park has sand dunes, a boardwalk and public sports and recreation facilities. One very special way to enjoy the beauty Amelia Island beaches offer is on horseback.
For more than 20 years, Debbie Manser, along with her talented guides, have been offering visitors this vacation experience. Amelia Island Horseback Riding trailers their horses to Peters Point Beach Front Park on S. Fletcher Ave. where visitors ride on the beach and into the Atlantic Ocean during their one-hour tour. Children ages 6 and up are welcome. Sunrise and sunset rides are available.
Since they trailer the horses most days they can only accommodate two to four riders at a time, but can take up to six riders with advance notice. Times are flexible during the fall and winter, but from May 1 until Nov 1 the horses are not permitted to be on the beach between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. so rides are limited.
