The resort is surrounded by beautiful Terra Ceia State Park and Frogs Creek Preserve which features 2,000 acres of mangrove forests, freshwater and saltwater uplands, and wildlife galore. The resort is only about 20 miles from Sarasota and 30 from Tampa St Petersburg so there are a ton of nearby attractions. Of course, the beaches are a must-see but there are many other fun attractions that are only found in this area. I highly recommend a visit to Marie Selby Botanical Gardens or the winter training facility for the famous Herrmanns’ Royal Lipizzan Stallions! If acrobatic horses are too tame for you, Busch Gardens has dangerous animals and death-defying coasters to get your blood pounding!
