Fruit-Infused Water
If you are active outside in the Florida heat, dehydration is always a concern. People that don’t care for the taste of water make the mistake of only drinking after they have become thirsty or replacing water with juices or soda. A fruit-infused water tastes amazing, however, and can entice even the pickiest of water-drinkers to re-hydrate regularly. In addition, they are healthy, cheap and can even help you control hunger, detoxify your body and lose weight!
The recipe is simple – cut up your favorite fruit, place in a glass jar, cover with water and wait! It only takes about 2 hours in the fridge for a light mix but steeping overnight will really bump up the flavor. Making fruit-infused water can be a fun kids project if you slice up the fruit ahead of time and let them each make their own in a mason jar.
