The Florida Panhandle is one of the most popular areas in the state for people to travel. This area offers dozens of beaches, campgrounds, and exciting things to see and do. The weather and climate of Florida encourage people to visit year round.

One popular destination in this area is the Henderson Beach State Park. This park is located on the gulf shoreline and offers a unique experience. The park is a protected area of the Emerald Coast and includes gleaming white sand dunes that stand over thirty feet tall. The park is open daily from 8a.m. until sunset.

People who wish to camp at Henderson Beach State park are in luck. The park has a campground that has 60 developed campsites. RV camping and tent camping are both allowed. Majority of the campsites include hookups for water and electricity. They also include picnic tables, grills, and posts to hang a clothesline. Pets and kids are welcome in the campground.

There are some restrictions for people who are RV camping at the state park. Recreational vehicles can not be more than 60 feet in length. Guests should also be aware that some of the campsites will require the vehicle to be backed into its space. Guests should also be aware that, while there are water and electricity hookups, there are no sewer hookups available.

Henderson Beach State Park has a ton of exciting things to do besides just enjoying the beach and sand dunes. There are hiking trails, bicycle paths, wildlife viewing, and other exciting opportunities. The park also offers its guests a private section of beach that covers a mile.

The state park is located near the town of Destin, Florida. Destin also offers visitors a wide selection of things to see and do. There are several other parks in the area, including Clement Taylor Park and John Beasley Park, to explore. The town also has several museums and historic places to visit. McKinley Climatic Laboratory, Sugarloaf Key Bat Tower, and The Destin History and Fishing Museum are all popular destinations to explore. There are also several theme parks and other exciting places to visit.

Fishing expeditions, parasailing, and various wildlife viewing cruises are also popular things for people to do while visiting the area. There are several businesses that offer these and other unique opportunities to enjoy. Many of these types of excursions do require reservations as capacity is typically limited.

Destin, and the surrounding towns, also offer a great selection of businesses for dining opportunities. Brotula’s Seafood House and Steamer, AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar, and Poppy’s Seafood factory are among thee many restaurants in the area that specialize in seafood dishes. Ciao Bella Pizza, Fajitas Grill, Pompano Joe’s and many other restaurants offer other cuisine to suit palates that do not enjoy seafood. There are also dozens of bars, saloons, and a winery that offer opportunities to spend an incredible night out on the town.

RV camping has become one of the most popular ways for people to travel and explore. This type of camping is quite enjoyable and relaxing. Many campgrounds do, however, have size restrictions and require reservations.
